CTS V Grille Drtiy...

Hey everyone.,

I just bought a CTS upper and lower grille last week and came in today (literally like ten mins ago). I bought it from E bay knowing it was slightly used and was stored in a barn. Evryone looks perfect no damage/ scratch or anything. Only problem is its dirty.

Do you guys know of a good way of cleaning it? or would car was soap just do the job?

I want it looking new and shiney

Ive used a nylon brush with auto soap. There is this spray called "satin Shine" that really shines it up and acts like a wax.

so regluar soap and a shiner afterwards?

You could use a buffing wheel with green honing compound (chromium oxide) to give it a proper polish. It's very easy to do, just takes a little bit of time. You could get it at a local jewelery supply shop or hobby shop.

The OEM V-grille mesh is pure stainless and will buff out beautifully. The after-market grille is definitely something else and I don't know what would work for buffing it out.

yea its a gennuine OEM cts v grille with no emblem (aww crap) and yea its just looks ditry. No rust or anything.

So buffing you say would be the best option, if only I new what to ge tand how to do it LMAO
