| | | Re: THoughts on zero weight oil? yeah we where talking about 0w30 not totally 0 weight. I think he should stick with the 5w30 but I opened my mouth and mentioned the 0w30 might give him some more pickup and better gas milleage. |

Nick...to be honest, it does seem to go a little faster. |

| | | Re: THoughts on zero weight oil? 0W30 year round should be fine in a newer car. some companies are switching to 0W20 because manufacturing tolerances are much better than 10 years ago.
i used 0W30 in my last two cars year round, and they're fine. The last one was even turbo, and didn't burn oil at all. |

| | | Re: THoughts on zero weight oil? I thought we were talking about straight 0 weight before.
At any rate, the 0W and 5W should only make a difference in the W... or WINTER!
The W means cold weather, not "When you want it to be".
In theory 0W and 5W would not be any different at normal ambient temperatures with a viscosity rating of 30 for each.
That would give you no change anyway.
The different winter ratings are for colder temperatures, not more performance.
You might as well put magnets on your fuel lines or use the "Direct Exhaust Injection" system
The version with the intercooler of course!

Nick...
I've been using it for about a year now...No Problems.
I no joke, but after i switched out the oil,,,I can swear it was running alot smoother and it seemed faster...
Maybe its just my seat dyno...
people were saying how great amsoil was, so I drained my Mobil 1 and did an engine flush (per amsoil's instructions) and filled it with 0w30.
I guess 0 weight is NOT equal to 0W..lol...didn't kno |

| | | Re: THoughts on zero weight oil? Hey Nick, I've got 2 tanks of gas on my change to 0W-30 Mobil Synthetic. My gas milage has improved by nearly 1 mpg. I live in Fla so the cold is not an issue. Mobil claims this product exceeds the specs on both their 5W-30 and 10W-30. I bought it of all places at Wal-Mart in 5 quart jug container. I believe it was around $17. The engine seams a tad quieter as well. I think it was a good choice. My 3.6L 04 now has 61,500 miles on the clock.
Just my .02 worth. Good Luck!!
