| | | Re: How to install Parrot Bluetooth on a CTS Bose after driving my wife's car again with the MK6100, I think I am going to replace the CK3000 with one. I was reading some articles online about bluetooth mp3 players, and considering the mk6100 has a2dp profiles for stereo bluetooth, and since the parrot output goes straight into the Bose amp, I am extremely intrigued by how it sounds. I will make an addendum to this writeup if/when I do. |

| | | Re: How to install Parrot Bluetooth on a CTS Bose the parrot has built-in muting relays and the requisite ISO connectors.
most of the other kits (nokia and moto for sure) are not designed to play through an audio system (although they can with adapter cables). they come with an external speaker.
but parrot has the best compatibility (fact) and the best sound quality (my opinion) |

There are some that are made for eclipse head units to toyota vehicles.
I recommend the ck3100, but if you want the lcd display order the gps one instead. |

| | | Re: How to install Parrot Bluetooth on a CTS Bose The connectors are actually called ISO (International Standards Organization?) Only in the CTS they are not quite standard. At least with the Bose system in my CTS and CTS-V they are not. But if you tap in the 12V ignition sense like in my write up, it is otherwise plug and play.
For cars that dont have ISO connectors, there are several websites that make plug and play adapter harnesses. That is what I used in my wife's Pilot. 100% plug and play. |

| | | Re: How to install Parrot Bluetooth on a CTS Bose So I am wondering now, is there a way to tell the amp to turn on if the radio is off? I do drive sometimes (very infrequently) with the radio off. I got a call yesterday, and I did have the radio off. Said "hello, hello, hellow?!" before I remembered to turn the radio on.
I have been looking over the connectors. There does not seem to be any options for this. Other than the audio inputs and power, all that is left is the serial data, which I imagine is what tells the amp to turn on and off.
the mute line on the parrot outputs 12v+ when it is activated by a call coming in. I wish there was a way to turn that into a signal to power on the amp if it is off. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
