Re: Show us your other toys

I am really getting sick of the atv'ers around my neighborhood. They take the mufflers off so the things make a hopped up harley sound like a whisper. and then they blast around the neighborhood at 10pm waking up the kids and making dogs bark.

one of these days I am gonna get a spike strip and just wait...

Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed, and both my CTS and Mustang are enjoyed.

Use to have a big Honda cruiser bike. But I had too many close calls with blue hairs and mothers on cell phones in minivans that I decided I wanted all my limbs attached. So regretably I sold it last summer. 4 wheels is the way for me now.
Nice car, you have my envy.

We used to take them to a big park with a ton of ATV/dirt bike trails, only after dark tho. They werent allowed there but we were never bothered once. Then of course when it snowed we would have them out.

I also have a house upstate in NY. Up there I did most of my riding. Either around my house or a 1/2 mile away at a friends. He had some really nice trails and lots of them. Nice huge mud pits to try and get threw, rock crawls, steeeep mountain sides too. Also we would goto a power line clearing with a badly maintained service trail/road. I dont think it was maintained at all actually. There were huge mud pits, super steep hill climbs, creeks running threw it... lol... It was 4 miles long tho and was tons of fun!

Just typing this post about it makes me wanna get out and ride again... Man so fun! I need to get another one for sure...

That Quadmaster 500 was a beast! In 4WD if u put the front tires to a wall it would climb the wall until it flipped on its back! The amount of torque that little 500cc 4-stroke put out was amazing. I remember pulling trees out of the ground and dragging them into the woods to clear my trails.

Anyway, now I am getting the itch to get a new one, and I think I will scratch it

I don't know if your familiar with Orange County but me and my buddies go riding almost weekly in what they call "MTA". MTA owns part of the land but not all of it. It's about a 20 mile perimeter. The box would be 17K - Drury Ln(Rt747) - Rt207 - Rt208. Google maps shows it pretty good.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...60675&t=h&z=13

We do the night riding mostly though as well so we don't get hassled. There's alot of No Trespassing signs.

I've been riding in PA too like Carbondale and Rausch Creek but still find the local riding more fun and challenging.

I know where your coming from on that. I purposely haven't gotten an aftermarket exhaust on mine for that reason. They just get too loud. Then it's the people like that that ruin the riding for everyone because the local law starts cracking down on all atv'ers.
