And for sure it'll give me a better return value when I trade the car in for a new one. Actually, the workshop manager is interested in taking over my car when I trade in. |

Road force balncing is basically when they computer spin balance your wheels, they place approximately the same force on the wheel that it would be under during normal driving conditions at about 40 MPH. This mimicks the actaul road condition as it would be in reality as opposed to just spin balalncing the wheels the normal way. There's an actual arm that swings onto the tire and applies a force as it spins. It's more true/balanced in the end. |

and thanks for the explanation..knew it was something like that....... |

| | | Re: Hurray! Vibration problem solved after almost 2 years of agony... Well, I live out in Cali and everything seems to be more expensive out here, not just the houses. At our local shops, it usually runs anywhere from $15 to $30 per wheel. It really just depends where you go. I would just look up some of the local tire shops in your area and get a quote over the phone. They should be able to do that no problem. And no, the dealer won't cover this. Especially if you have aftermarket wheels. |

They also rotate the tire on the rim, until the flat spots on the tires are balanced with the rims. So, it is a lot more time consuming than a regular tire balancing. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
