I've also got that gap ! I can pull up on the bumper cover and it pulls back in place! There has to be a fix somewhere.

Re: question about the gap between headlight and bumper

I removed the air filter and was able reach it that way. On the other side I had to move the fuse box up, but I was able to do it without any disassembly.

Hey Cts-tom,

Looks good so far! I was wondering where you got a V bumper for a bargin because I'm looking into that route. If you can tell me where you got it I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Paul Nguyen

Re: question about the gap between headlight and bumper

I fixed the gap under my headlamps. First remove the wheel well liner, take a large block of foam and wedge it inside the bumper facia between the headlamp assembly and fog light assembly (using hot melt to glue it to the back side of the facia). This pushes the facia up against the bottom of the headlamp assembly forever.

Yes, I've taken a careful look at this gap the past few times my bumper has been taken off, and the only way to fix it really is to do the above wedge technique or fashion another bolt assembly to that part to keep it in place. The former being the obviously better approach. I don't mind the gap that much, but it is slowly getting on my nerves.

*Just a note, fascia is spelled 'fascia'. I've corrected the above for your amusement.

The foam works well because the bumper facia is too thin to try securing it at 1 or 2 points (it would sag around the points).
