v bumper for non v cts

Hi guy's, I've been thinking of doing the swap on my cts also. I have been reading as many posts that I can find about it. It seems like a very simple swap except for the fog lights. I have been thinking of how I could make this easier for my self and I thought maybe I could make the brackets from fiberglass. Has anyone tried this? If I do would it be worth it to make more than just the two for my self? would anyone else want some?

as far as easier for yourself i'm not sure about that, or even if it would be cheaper, wouldn't you need a cts v bracket to clone from? but, once you made some i'm sure you would have buyers, if you could reduce the cost so people could buy the bracket and not have to buy the fogs(as you have to buy them as a bracket and fog unit). i payed 150 brand new for each sts-v bracket with fogs(that did have to be modified, it is a simple mod), but i know people are paying higher from other sources.

Well I ordered the v bumper. It should be here in five to ten days. Now I just need to get the fiber glass supplies.

When I get started making the brackets I'll get a better idea of cost.

Tommy - It would be easier if I had the v bracket to copy, but if I bought the bracket I woudn't need to make them. and I know it I can make them for cheaper than $150. ea.

i know what you are saying. what i meant is, if you made an exact replica of the v bracket with the duct you woud have plenty of buyers.
there is a tube that goes from the duct to the hole in the v wheel well liner. the duct is there for more than just estetics.
the only way i could see making one perfect for resale is to have one to copy from. so if you bought one to replicate and reverse the mold for the other side, it would be an investment. you could sell countless others on here.
