CTS-V Steering wheel on non V

I was wonderng how hard it would be to put a V steering wheel on a non-V?

I know that all the same buttons are there however....

they are in different locations..

Would the wiring be the same or would it be too much of a PITA?

Not that I need the V wheel but I was wanting to change mine out anyway because it has a couple of spots that look worn.. and that bugs me...

Its not that I want a V steering wheel... but I like the buttons placement on them and there are some out there on Ebay for a decent price. There are a couple scuffs on mine and I was just shopping..

however.... yeah.. Why not?

The main issue in doing that swap is the V buttons won't work right on a CTS.
They have different functions.
You'd lose the volume control and gain controls for cluster options you don't have.
I am not sure I'd go that route if it were me.
