Now to get rid of some rattles | lol, now get some pics so we can see the setup.
I've been warned that it will drive you nuts when you start doing the sound deadening because for every rattle you get rid of you'll discover 2 even more subtle rattles that you couldn't hear before. |

| | | Re: ? on subwoofers does underpowering a subwoofer make a sound or is it just quite?
Because I got 2 type X alpines which are suppose to run at 1000 watts each and their peak is at 3000 watts.
I got a JL Audio 1800 amp which is 1000 watts to both of them. Would that make it sound diffrent? |

I have a 10" Alpine type R mounted in the factory sub spot. The installer just made an adapter ring to get it to fit. I'm very happy with the bass response, but I like tight bass and listen to rock, metal & blues, don't need the big boom/sizzle sound for hip hop/rap.
Hey bracester, you like your ED sub? I always thought their gear looked top notch. I actually bought some rolls of their sound deadening material was a better deal than paying for dynamat. I did my rear deck this winter but I'm waitin for warmer weather to do the trunk & back seat area. | Ya I have had a set before and the sound is simply amazing! They hit the notes effortlessly and with little power too. Alpine's are amazing as well but seem a little on the power hungry side, but I have had Alpines too and they are sweet soundin. |

Nothing fancy, but it looks clean and sounds amazing!
The box is one that I had custom made for my 02 firehawk I sold 2 years ago, fits in the caddy nicely. |

He'd beat me with a golf club if I installed anything else! | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
