its very hard to get the tire on the wheel. it takes about 30 minutes to get a tire on one of the rims. and for me i just got my fender lip cut off.

Re: Do 22 inch wheels fit correctly?

I've had 22's on my Cts for 3 years and no rubbing but you will have to mod your vehicle a bit like I did and FYI, 235 on a 9.5' wheel is dangerous. It'll be strectched out too much. I have 245/30/22's on my 22"x8.5"s with a 35mm offset and I still had to make some changes. Looks sweet though and no rubbing after it's taken care of. Most peolple think I have airbags but not the case, just slammed hard that's all. I have been told that the chasis of the '03is different than my '05 3.6L CTS so you might try researching that a little before spending the cash. I hear there was more clearance on the '03 models. Check out www.cardomain.com. You might get some of your questions answered there from what other people have done. There is actually a CTS on that site that has 22" TIS, same ones you want but in chrome. Check it out. Where you from by the way?

Re: Do 22 inch wheels fit correctly?

I have asked a few people on cardomain with 22s. The guy with the TIS in chrome mrplease has replied to me, he is runnin 22x8.5 5x115 40mm offset 245/30/22 tires with no mods at all. But the TIS I can get for $1300 are 22x9.5 5x114.3 38mm offset and i would need 255/30/22 tires. there just is no guarantee they will fit. It still seems like too good of deal to pass up. I am located in PA. Thanks for any other replies, this sale ends monday so im just trying to get as much input as possible.

Re: Do 22 inch wheels fit correctly?

check that auction again. its a +18 offset and not a +38. it won't fit. its for a charger/magnum.

and me personally wouldn't go any wider than an 8.5" with a 22 in rim.

GREAT price though...

Re: Do 22 inch wheels fit correctly?

Normally I would say the bigger the better.

But as much as I love big rims, I think 22s don't look good on the CTS.

The CTS has more of a sporty / mean look, save the chrome 22s for the DTS.

Go with 20s, that's already huge!!
