| | | Re: Fog and side marker lens *Group Buy* Wow, this thing is intense. I honestly am sorry for you- to lose that many thousand dollars in your e-commerce business?!
I own an on-line business as well, and I will tell you that if I ever got screwed out of 10k I would probably stop and try to figure out what's wrong...
Also, I've learned that communication is key.
1. When the buyer purchases send them a message thanking them for the purchase and letting them know a reasonable estimated shipping date. If a reasonable estimated shipping date cannot be provided let the buyer know why.
2. Get payment if not already paid
3. Update the buyer if the shipment is past the original day of estimated shipping date
4. Notify the buyer when the shipment was shipped and by what method
5. Follow-up with the seller to determine satisfaction and arrival of product
Now, if you've "got screwed" out of around 10k of products I would estimate you are making quite a living. If this type of communication seems to be "too much" it may be time to hire someone to help you.
If you need help developing your business let me know- I'd be glad to help. I charge $250 an hour for consultation. I take PayPal.
With these proven methods I've grown my business year over year by an average of 300%.
BTW, I need some fogs and smoked corners... Can you help? |

| | | Re: Fog and side marker lens *Group Buy* I bought clear sides and fogs from WW since that time i haven't installed them. Wish i would have bought smoked sides, so if smoked diffused sides become available from this vendor, i'll buy a set.
Once they arrive my clear sides from WW will be up for sale. |

| | | Re: Fog and side marker lens *Group Buy* I have to say when I got mine I was very happy with the transaction, paid for them and they were shipped promptly and you answered my question I pm'ed you very promptly. If this was ebay you would have gotten positive feedback.
However, just reading the last few pages of this thread I'm astonished how all of this has turned out on both sides. It sounds like some people took advantage of you and that is a shame. Unfortunately in business you always have be on guard for that. Looking at some of these responses in the last few pages and other threads by Yourgm have just been ridiculous for someone running a business. Not that other responses haven't either but they aren't coming from a business.
I feel bad people took advantage of you but how much of that would have been prevented if you had the following?
1. Written return policy. If damaged in shipping you will replace, once they start the install they own them. If people complain show them the writing and apologize but that is how you keep the cost of them down. If not double the price and offer a lifetime guarantee.
2. Pay first before shipping always, no exceptions too many scammers on the net.
3. Detailed explanation on what is involved to install these, this is not an easy plug and play mod. People should do it at their own risk. That might deter some sales but also might prevent some broken returns.
4. Communication, It seems like most of us got that but some didn't and if they didn't then complaining is expected.
Doing business on the net is tough, it's much easier for people to screw you over when they don't see your face. Look at any serious ebay seller and see how much legal writing they have in their posts. They have that for very good reason unfortunately, everyone isn't friends in business.
Sorry if this is critical, you have a good product you offer the forum and you should be making some money off of it.

the problem is somewhere else. dealing with the god damn issues
lots of phone calls with broken lenses issues during installation. So, I get the lenses back and I can clearly see what happened. so after i tell the guy that I have nothing to do with this, he files a clame with paypal. so first thing paypal does is, freeze the money for 30 days till they make desicion. Now, I am not talking one individual, dozens. so then paypal see that there more then one complaint, and what they do next. they refund those money to the customer.so all my profits went to drain. then there were some others who told me that they are going to complaint on the forum. first I felt for that, and later I told others who tried to do same thing to go pound sand.
another few scams I felt for. the guy buys lenses. then he calls me and ask me to ship them overnight, with promice to send me payment soon as he gets to the computer. $23 to ship them overnight. I never got those payments. My dumb mistake that I never save messages. and I can go on and on.
and then some other individuals desided to retaliate, going to my other threads and using power of the free speech. so now, not only that I took hit on this lenses, I had several orders that been canceled by 2008 CTS and escalade owners, caused by resent events.
Anyway, to those who are still willing to deal with academy award winner "Shadyest Vendor of the Year" make a new list with what you need and posted here. those who participated in my crucifiction, you can put your name too. I don't care at this point.
I have on my hands
10 smoked fog lenses
10 clear fog lenses
few smoked non difused side markers but they still will look very good.
bunch of non diffused clear side markers.
for those who wants diffused side markers, still right it down, so I can see | dude, i never intended to make you into a bad guy... i was actually looking into getting the fogs. But after reading the posts i just noticed bunch of ppl here complaining that they paid and never got their product and for some reason you failed to commmunicate with them. Then you went on a rampage and completely discouraged me and perhaps other members... no wonders you are loosing money Quote:

I agree with everything you have said, and for sure I'll take some notes.
I am not really a rookie as it looks. I started with ebay in 2001. I can't say i did not have any problems, but I never lost a dime. 2008 is when i got cought off my guard.
so what ever happened, it already happened. time to move on and do what I do, and learn from all mistakes that's been done.
thanks for a comment. ps: and I reaaly wish somebody would lock this thread. new people can see only pieces of the whole drama and prabobly have no clue what's going on |
