Single Sub, Stock Location

Did a search and really couldn't find a solid answer.

I am wanting to swap out my stock sub for an upgraded in the stock location (low end, just want a little more bump) one.

Can anyone tell me

1. what subs will fit (like to spend 100-150).

2. I was told I needed an amp, but how do I wire it in?

Also If you suggest a sub, suggest an amp, not sure how many watts I need etc.

Kicker makes a 10" sub that will fit in the factory sub location.

Depending on what you go with the 2ohm or 4 ohm makes for what your amp would need to be. 300 watts RMS I think is what the 2 ohm will run..

Crutchfield has them....but someone posted the 4 ohm sub from somewhere and it was $50.

You have to either get an aftermarket head unit, or a line output converter, or a Cleansweep system to run your amp off of.

Search stock sub and see what comes up..there's seriously like 1,000 topics on this one

Sloppy bass....but alot of it...I had 15s when I was 16....By 16 1/2 I upgraded to 12s

Agreed...12s are the right size for any kind of bass...but 10s also come a close 1st when listening to music with lots of short beats

Yep, tens are alot tighter bass and accentuate the mids more....WIsh I could get 10s, 12s, and 15s all in my car and tune it perfectly

what can I say it's the Ghetto in me........now a 15 with a Crossover, equilizer and tuneable amp would definatly help with the tweaking.....

a jl audio w3v3 10 would be perfect ran off a jl 250
