Seeing threw the CD entrance is normal... how else would a CD get in there? lol.. There is just a film over the metal back there that removes dust when a CD or DVD is inserted.
Price, well... Price is what ever the seller wants to put it up for. I bought mine for $1100 with only the 6.0 map DVD (no antenna or manual).
As for the part numbers, dont stress it. Most people dont know the part numbers exactly.
Just so you know-
10373846 = Woodgrain
10373847 = Black

I was guessing that the backend of the inside would be closed off (or at least dark), but I guess when you hit the 'load' button some mechanism slides down to accept the CD.
And yes, I do want a woodgrain unit, I was just posting the other links as a reference to the other part numbers and such.
Anyways, the woodgrain part number is the 6-disc or the 1-disc??? If it's 6-disc I'll be a very very happy man |

Option codes refer to it being nav unit or regular radio... I think all NAV units have a 6-disc and the single DVD drive. I am almost positive. |

Now let's see if I get the damn thing... I have a few salvage yards that have the unit available also. We'll see how it goes.
And thanks for the help. I really appreciate it!

They have a bad NAV unit with a cracked LCD. Guy there said it was only the outter protective screen that was cracked and I said I can replace that myself no problem. I get it and the LCD is cracked and the unit is worthless, I call and he says sorry and to send it back and he will refund me. Cool. I do that, 2 weeks later I still had no refund on my C/C. I had to file a complaint to my card company to get the refund. Not cool. |

Thanks though. |

| | | Re: So I'm trying to get a NAV unit for a 2006 CTS... I got my nav mainly for appearance and reliability of integration. Sure third party units will always outperform OEM gear, but I don't use the nav that much, and when I do, it's flawless. Well, I also got it for the six CD changer, since my original only had the single.
