This is one without woodgrain...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cadil...em220208671869

This is with woodgrain, which is actually the part number I was referencing earlier (10373846). It's also the one he said it seemed you could see through the CD deck to the background, but that may be the deck interior...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...em190204549659

This is another one without woodgrain in the pic, but is the same part number (10373846, WTF???) and a bit higher than I want to spend...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-...em140211852072

Now I'm officially ****in confused.

They all look fine to me. Are you looking for woodgrain or not? If the picture is on the page they have to send that one unless otherwise stated on the page. And if they dont eBay policy will protect you.

Seeing threw the CD entrance is normal... how else would a CD get in there? lol.. There is just a film over the metal back there that removes dust when a CD or DVD is inserted.

Price, well... Price is what ever the seller wants to put it up for. I bought mine for $1100 with only the 6.0 map DVD (no antenna or manual).

As for the part numbers, dont stress it. Most people dont know the part numbers exactly.

Just so you know-

10373846 = Woodgrain

10373847 = Black

lol true, but I was referring to how the inside almost matches the cloth that it's sitting on. I was guessing that the backend of the inside would be closed off (or at least dark), but I guess when you hit the 'load' button some mechanism slides down to accept the CD.

And yes, I do want a woodgrain unit, I was just posting the other links as a reference to the other part numbers and such.

Anyways, the woodgrain part number is the 6-disc or the 1-disc??? If it's 6-disc I'll be a very very happy man

The part number only refers to black or woodgrain. Option codes refer to it being nav unit or regular radio... I think all NAV units have a 6-disc and the single DVD drive. I am almost positive.

Cool, that's good to hear.

Now let's see if I get the damn thing... I have a few salvage yards that have the unit available also. We'll see how it goes.

And thanks for the help. I really appreciate it!

What ever you do, DO NOT buy from Diamond Auto Parts in Fond Du Lac, WI.

They have a bad NAV unit with a cracked LCD. Guy there said it was only the outter protective screen that was cracked and I said I can replace that myself no problem. I get it and the LCD is cracked and the unit is worthless, I call and he says sorry and to send it back and he will refund me. Cool. I do that, 2 weeks later I still had no refund on my C/C. I had to file a complaint to my card company to get the refund. Not cool.

Unless you are set on in-dash, your money would be better spent on a Garmin or something. $400 and they outperform OEM units tenfold.

Re: So I'm trying to get a NAV unit for a 2006 CTS...

I'm hell-bent on OEM in-dash Nav and DVD. If I wanted aftermarket, in-dash or not, I would have just used the Pioneer N2 I have in my closet lol.

Thanks though.

Re: So I'm trying to get a NAV unit for a 2006 CTS...

I got my nav mainly for appearance and reliability of integration. Sure third party units will always outperform OEM gear, but I don't use the nav that much, and when I do, it's flawless. Well, I also got it for the six CD changer, since my original only had the single.
