How can you tell if a cts has the sport package or not??

Just going by the wheels, I say NO. The sport package has highly polished wheels and those all look to the the standard painted aluminum wheels.

That is the sport grill. You can get it from Lindsay Cadillac or watch e-bay for it.

I have been searching to buy a 2004 0r 2005 CTS with the Optional Sport Package (1SC). I have done considerable research and have determined the content of it from the GM ordering info for the 2004 & 2005 only, I found it includes:
> (FE3) 4-wheel independent Sport Suspension
> (JL4) StabiliTrak
> Speed-Sensitive Power Steering (speed-variable steering assist)
> Performance Brake Linings;
> (QWW) Tires, P225/50R17, W-rated, all-season, blackwall
either:
> (N93) Wheels, 17" (43.2 cm) aluminum, mirror-polish finish (Chrome-look)
(Requires 1SC Preferred Equipment Group)
or
> (QF7) Wheels, 17" (43.2 cm) aluminum, painted (option on base w/1SB Preferred Equipment Group)
and either
> Load Leveling
or an option credit
> without level loading: Code: (FE2) (Requires 1SB Preferred Equipment Group)

Having the 17" wheels and the StabiliTrak doesn’t seem to confirm that it HAS the Sport Package, because these features may be available separately or with other options, but I can’t be sure. I have had dealers check the VIN number and have said they can’t tell without a manufacturer's search of the original build documents. Therefore I am still unable to look at a vehicle or description and be sure it really has the whole 1SC option. Since the FE3 suspension is “only available with Sport Package” that would tell, but I do not know how to determine this, or if it has the steering assist, performance brake linings; or the FE3 Sport Suspension.

1. Look at sticker on plastic spare tire cover. PDX is RPO code for Sport Pkg.
2. Run VIN at any GM dealer; ask for VIS or complete RPO report. If you have sport pkg, VIS (Vehicle Inquiry System) will show it.
