It is black with chrome mesh in the back of it. The chrome strip that you usually see above the grille came painted black from the factory already.
The CTS sport grilles are around. May be a little harder to find the a V grille. There have been a bunch of people who have gotten this grille, hopefully someone will chime in to help you. |

| | | Re: CTS-V Grill???? Yes, that is a GM replacement grill. I bought my V-Grill from her last summer. Arrived in the original GM box.
As for installing, it's not as easy as these folks allude to. There are 16 push pins holding the grill in place. 6 along the top, 4 on either side and 6 across the bottom. The top 6 and top 2 on either side are easy enough. The bottom 2 on the sides and the 6 across the bottom are not so easy. The push pin is a 2 piece plastic pin that pops into the round plastic housing. The problem is that the plastic pin comes out on the back side of the metal frame on the front of the car. That means they go in BACKWARDS. Not so easy when you are standing in front of the car. You have to pull the grill frame out away from the car while with the other hand trying to get those damn pins in (backwards and against the metal frame)
Easy, as compared to putting a new stereo in?, sure. Easy as in pop it out of the box and drive around with it on in 10 minutes? Nope.
But with a little patience and maybe a buddies hand to help, yes, pretty easy. |
