| | | Double Din install kit (mrplease) Sorry I still can send a PM so I had to make a post. I notice Mrplease has a better looking dash kit. I had my unit installed a circuit city and this is what they gave me.
How did you get yours??
Thanks |

| | | Re: Double Din install kit (mrplease) Don't really remember how much the kit costs me. It was dark outstide when they finished it and I didn't notice it until the morning. It doesn't look that bad when your in the car, it kinda blends in with the dash and all the other black trim. But I took a close up pic to show how different it looks.
It's not life or death but if theres a kit looks better I want them to change it. I've had it for about three weeks now.
Thanks

| | | Re: Double Din install kit (mrplease) Neither the Metra or the Scosche kit are worth a crap. I had a buddy of mine take the Metra kit along with the other pieces of the dash and epoxy together and paint. In my "V" it matches perfectly. The other problems with the Metra and Scosche kit are the the radio will "jiggle" because it is only attached to the plastic kit. Mine is very secure.

| | | Re: Double Din install kit (mrplease) Why would you change out the headunit ?
And why not just get the dvd nav off ebay rather than aftermarket ? |

| | | Re: Double Din install kit (mrplease) It was hard to find a good fact nav unit... Heard the oem nav was trash... I like my aftermarket unit, has built in bluetooth, sirius radio, and ipod hookup. It's a really nice unit, got it off ebay for $580. |
