I agree with you... i love the way the car looks on the outside and inside, all electrical componments are solid but the engine and drivetrain on this car is aweful...the engine is weak and it sounds like its hurting in the cold. I never had this with any previous cars...

may just be from it being that cold out, cars perform properly when up to operating temperature

I'll smash the cold theory right now.

I live in sunny southern California, and my 03 CTS is clunking into first on down shift too!
Sport mode or regular mode it's all the same.
I'm going to take it into the dealer because, guess what?
I love my car and It's getting worse.
