YEA THIS HAPPEN TO ME TOO....ERRRRRR

but only at idling......and when i just start the car ..it goes flickers from bright to dark, bright to dark at the lowest setting...i always thought it was my system making it flicker but i guess not....

I would have to say that It may be alternator related then...just cause when you give it gas theres more power to use and your lights may get brighter...the bump thing I am not too sure about maybe accelerating after the bump or something..

no, i really don't think its the alternator. its not like it does it exactly when i accelerate. plus, there are no other alternator related problems...

The sun sits low on the horizon in the northern latitudes in winter. The automatic headlight control system is geared for Florida and it doesn't know what the hell to do. Mine did the same thing from October through March. My STS isn't much better. If you can't live with it you'll have to move south.
