Snow and fishtails

Well we had our first real snowfall of the year today. about 4 inches. Was waiting to see how the stock tires are in snow. Well now I know, they are like driving on tires made of butter.

It was actually kinda fun, haven't done donuts in a parking lot for many many years, but when going straight, I grew tired quickly of the traction control constantly being on and going nowhere. And talk about fishtail.

So, I have a set of Goodyear Triple Treads on order for install this friday. Hope they do the trick as I'm avoiding the winter / summer tire swap. If they don't stick good enough then I'll have to get a winter set, but apparently the Tripletreads are excellent in the snow and ice.

Re: Snow and fishtails

I have the Tripple Treads on my 06 w/ the 16 inch wheels. They are a good all year tire. Much better in the snow than the stock tires. They do ride a little harder and are louder on the highway but the compromise in traction is worth it compwared to the RSA's. Let us know how you like the tires after a few days with them.
