03 cts windshield wipers wont turn off!!

Hey all my damn windshield wipers wont turnoff unless i pull the motor fuse out of the fuse box anyone know why this might be so? heard it could be the pulse sensor? have a good feeling its not involved with the actual switch in the steering column! it fixed itself for a couple of days but is now back!

I have a feeling on this one a dealer diagnostic would be best.

I haven't seen one of these with a wiper issue to tell you the truth.
I can tell you that usually on GM cars and light trucks that the circuit board inside the motor cover is usually the culprit when things like this happen.
It is sealed inside the cover but it is out in the elements and things can make their way in there.
Once there is corrosion or moisture inside there is no telling what the wiper system will do.

I would also advise that you have someone verify that there are no shorts in the wiring that could cause improper inputs to the motor connector. After that I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it needs a new circuit board. Sometimes you have to buy the motor to get the board.
As I said, I have never heard of a CTS wiper complaint like this.

Ewill3rd, do these wipers reverse to park the blades? Some times the reverse circuit acts up and the blades won't stop. Sable, does anything happen when you turn them off, like a jerk?

koz, I haven't looked.
Let me take a quick peek at the manual in a while and I'll get back to you.
Usually the motor stops and runs backwards, a small cam on the motor catches a tab and makes the blades "park" but I am not so sure CTS uses this setup.
