Painting the Stock Grille Black

Hey Guys,
I have a Raven Black 07 CTS. I have been thinking of getting the stock grille painted Black. Was wondering if any of you guys have done it and could share some pictures with me. I really appreciate the help.

We did ours too when we had to replace the grill anyway. Ours is Blue chip but looks so much better and blends with the car.

Hey RobertCTS and bigblockcaddy, you guys' grills look great. What did you use to paint them? Powdercoated?

Just got mine done. The car was in the shop to get the rear bumper refinished after I got rear ended so I went ahead and had the grill painted at the same time. It only cost about $100. Love it!!!

Many members have painted the grill to match. It's much cheaper than a V grill, and IMHO looks great while still being subtle. Even the new sport grill is a mix of V-grill and slimmed down and painted CTS grill.

I had mine done 3 years ago when the body shop was installing and painting the V bumper and side skirts. I actually bought a used grill off of eBay, so I could still drive the car while the parts were being prepped and painted. Then they installed the works in a day when I dropped off the car. I kept all of my old parts, in case I sell the car and want to put them all back on.

I saw a CTS at the dealership that had the chrome lip removed I though it looked really good.
