Corsa is known, from what I am told, for making exhaust that is not ricer-boy loud but has good flow and adds respectable HP. On the V there is that big ugly chamber and those horrible huge black hindenburgs at the pipes that restrict in a mad attempt to keep HP under the Z06. So we need flow badly, if the CTS has normal pipe(s) the HP gain won't be as drastic.
Intake/airbox (get a blackwing if you can, those are fun) has a nice sound usually, and HP gain is more than an exhaust for a matter of 2-300 bucks. The stuff that really makes it loud is headers/removing cats/head & cam. Or the 3" brap-tips.
A pcm and intake with a dyno tune should pick you up 20rwhp (however don't waste the $300 on a dyno tune unless you are sure you aren't adding more mods in the near future). There are a few things you CAN do that are cheap but may be difficult depending on the car such as underdrive pulleys, throttle body, thermostat.
Add exhaust for 5-10rwhp with a cat-back. Lower the car by cutting your springs for 50rwhp, slap 19" white 5-spokes, mirror tints and CADILLAC stenciled in italics across the top of the windshield and you should be dusting Vipers in no time.

-C. | Underdrive pulley is another upgrade that i have on my list.
Here are few basic mods that i would like to get done asap
Basic intake
exhaust (i think corsa unit is too flashy for me. especially the quad exhaust tip so i'm going to get another brand that gives modest amount of horsepower gain.)
headers if i can find a decent one
underdrive pulley
eibach springs and lightweight 17"/18"(max) wheels (probably going to go with lightweight bbs wheels) with better rubber
PCM tuning if anyone can point me to a link for more info and places that tune late model cadillacs,
Followed by a supercharger (only kit i've found so far is from lund) in a few months. |

| | | Re: Any love for the 3.6l cts? Cal is only kidding with his "...dusting Vipers" comment. Don't even think of running against a Viper with any CTS, V or otherwise, unless you enjoy wasting gas and love having your butt kicked. You'll be lucky if you can see the license plate as it flys past. Trust me, scarey fast.......... |

Well, maybe any stock CTS...
Here's one that comes to mind that runs by Vipers like they're sitting still:
...and if the heavily modded V racer doesn't do it, we can always direct them to Lund's 1100hp 3.2L : http://www.lklserver.com/cts/index.htm http://www.gminsidenews.com/forum/in...4925entry24925
