Question exhaust question re: horsepower

Remove this ad
I have a 2007 with the 3.6L at 255 HP. If i was to change out the stock exhaust and add either the V exhaust or an after market one, how much more HP will i be getting. My next move will be this and im hoping to boost the HP a bit at the same time. Hit me up with some info guys. Oh and give me a few good exhaust systems i should look at.

Re: exhaust question re: horsepower

Do a search on this; I think there was a thread that covered this. And IIRC the CTS actually dyno'ed less power with the V exhaust.

It's not going to help unless you have Big3 tune the car for you. And even then, I'm not sure how much you'll get.

Re: exhaust question re: horsepower

Exhaust sets the way for future upgrades.

It will help a little now, but maybe only a few horse here or there.

If you are looking for a number, how is 10 hp.

Re: exhaust question re: horsepower

Every exhaust setup for the 3.6 has only lead to speculation. There are no hard numbers for a 3.6 exhaust.

The only exhaust with hard numbers that Im aware of is the 3.2 Borla setup.
