http://www.permatex.com/products/aut...pose_Epoxy.htm

I think I used 3.5 packages. The .84 fl. oz. ones.

What I did was, once the old lenses were off, filled the seam they sit in with epoxy to make it a flush surface. waited about 30 mins, then sanded it down to make it alittle rough. Then applied a THIN layer over then and applied the lense and clamped the 4 corners. Once it was dried, about 10 minutes, I applied more epoxy to one edge at a time to fill any cracks/holes.

Good luck, any questions, feel free to ask me.

Re: WW Clear Fogs and HID Kit... INSTALLED!

I got the Clear fogs and have not installed them yet, you did the whole oven/apoxy deal? I printed out some instructions from the forum and read the thread where some people had issues with there being little surface on the new lens for the apoxy to adhere to. How did your insall go? Aside from to few clips and what kind of clips did you use?

Thanks

Yes, I did the whole oven and epoxy thing to install my new WW fog lenses. My best bit of advise is to take your time!!! This is an all day thing. If you are going to do this set aside a day that you can work freely with out interruption.

I set my oven to about 250 degrees. Taking the housing out every 5-10 minutes and slowly prying out the old lense. I used a putty knife and a screw driver to do this. TAKE YOUR TIME. It takes ample force to remove the lense. But do it slowly and bit by bit, putting the housing back into the oven periodically to reheat it. It cools very quicky. Wear golves to do this also, the lense gets to hot to hold for the time needed to work on it. This step should be done one lense at a time and may take 30-45 minutes per lense removal.

Once the old lenses were out I filled the seam where the old lenses came out of with epoxy (I used this product http://www.permatex.com/products/aut...se_Epoxy. htm) first to make a thicker, flush, surface. Once that dried (waited about 20 minutes before sanding) I sanded it to make it even/flush and roughen it up (rough surface is ideal for epoxy bonding).

Next I applied a THIN ( and I stress THIN because you dont want excess epoxy to drip into the housing) layer of expoy over that. Applied the lense over that. Clamped the 4 corners and let sit for ~4 hours (I used these clamps from Home Depot. About $2 each. http://www.studiodepot.com/store/ima...ms/HW158-D.gif) BUT! after about 10 minutes the epoxy is dried (not cured, but dry). At this point I then carefully sat the housing on one side and filled any cracks/gaps/holes with more epoxy, once this dried (about 10 minutes), I did the remaining 3 sides, one at a time, with the same procedure to fill gaps/holes. DO NOT remove the clamps for at least 3.5-4 hours.

If you need any more help, I'de be happy to assist. Good luck!
