Re: 2003 cts navigation

need the navigation or just a disc??

Navi your best bet is ebay....wait and wait until one comes up.....there is also a parts finder on this forum...you tell it what your looking for and it posts it for all kinds of parts people to see and they contact you if they have it.....

BTW you can use any year NAVI

Re: 2003 cts navigation

I have heard that VERY late 03s had DVD nav. Im sure those units are VERY hard to find.

Your best bet would be to buy an 04 or later dvd nav and then swap the faceplate and buttons to match the rest of your dash. 04 and later have a black dash as opposed to that gray color.

Re: 2003 cts navigation

You definately want a DVD based unit from 2003 thru 2007. Costs range from $700 to $1100. I got mine for $700. It was from a 2005 CTS-V. Installation is pretty easy and instructions are in ReedsFAQ website.

Re: 2003 cts navigation

If the nav unit hasn't been "flashed" to allow you to use the updated nav disc's, then that will have to be done.

Read the sticky on the CTS-V forum or PM me.

Since you have a late '03, late '03 thru '07 are the same NAVs. plug and play. Cost is $700-$1100 depending how good you are at shopping. I found a V Nav for $700. You should have the same VSS wire that you tap into using Ody's brown wire.

Re: 2003 cts navigation

As long as were talking 2003 Nav units....

What's the "current" version of the NAV CD??

I'm still using the original NAV CD and it's starting to miss a lot of new highways, streets, etc.

Re: 2003 cts navigation

The current Cad nav disc (DVD)for the CTS models (V included) came out one month before Zenrin released 6.5.

The Zenrin 6.5 is the most current that will work.

As for the CD version, here is a link:http://www.zenrin.com/nissan/CD/

i got ya on the nav robert, but i was talking about something different. i seem to have a late model 03 so i was wondering, besides the different dash color, and dvd based nav, are there any other differences that are working in my advantage of having a late model 03??? thanx
