Re: Coolant Light

Mine comes on when it's really cold out. Usually when I first start the car.

Re: Coolant Light

You mean it says it's over heating? I know we have a thermostat but I'm not sure how our engines measure the temperature. Possibly a faulty sensor?

With 34,000 miles I've not experienced that problem on my '04. I'm sure your SM & warranty will take care of you.

Re: Coolant Light

Had the same message on the dic. Look under the car for dripps or smell of collant. Mine was the water pump. Covered under warrenty @ 60k. Have them put the dye in the collant system to check for leaks.

Re: Coolant Light

Mine came on for the first time (DIC) about 3-4 weeks ago. It was perhaps a little low ... topped it up and the light hasn't been on since.

Re: Coolant Light

I was having the same issue. I took mine in cause it was still under waranty. As it turnes out it was just a clamp on the coolant line had come loose and shifted. They fixed it and put in the dye to check for future leaks-end of issue, no sensor issue now.

Re: Coolant Light

Had the same issue....Turned out it was a cracked thermostat housing. Dealer repaired and waranteed.

Re: Coolant Light

I just had the same issue. Replaced thermostat and gasket under warranty and no problems since. They originally thought it was a faulty sensor like Robert mentioned as that is fairly common I guess.
