HID Fogs Installed! Pics!

Finally got my HID fog lights installed tonight. They look AMAZING! They also make driving at night a breeze. I thought I had it good with just HID low beams, but when I flip on the fogs.. it's insane. You see everything.

Here are some pics:

This one just looks really sweet..

They are Katsuro 6,000K bulbs. Very high quality look to them. As good as my Phillips low beam set. Purchased at www.toppsi.com. Thanks to their excellent customer service, the installation was a breeze. (even in 25º Ohio weather!)

You must remove the front inner wheel well panel to access the bulbs.

Re: HID Fogs Installed! Pics!

Install went easy. Just removed that panel in there (turning the wheel all the way to the left then the other way), and then hooking up the ballast and bulb to factory plugs. The whole thing was plug and play. (power connector needed to go on backwards, silly Japanese..) I mounted the ballast on top of the fog light housing. Seemed the perfect place for it.

Good idea! If I can muster up enough willpower to go outside tonight in the sub 20º wind, I'll try and take a shot of the fog lights on and off to show you how nice it is.

Re: HID Fogs Installed! Pics!

I got them super cheap at www.toppsi.com.

The Katsuro 35W 9005 bulbs (HB3) fit in the fog light assembly. Not sure if STS-v fog light assemblies are the same bulb types are not. Can anyone confirm?

Looks like the STS-v fog light assembly uses H3 bulbs. According to http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm

Re: HID Fogs Installed! Pics!

Cool! And Top PSI offers a 2 yr warranty plus lifetime bulbs!

Man, if people blink their brights at you now, just wait until
they get hit by the FOGs, too!

I do not see anywhere on their site where they just sell the bulb? I guess I should ask, is this just a bulb replacement you did? I would like to do this if that is all that is involved.
Is the above (Katsuro 35W 9005 bulbs HB3) a direct replacement for the factory fog light bulb? How much were they? Thanks!

Re: HID Fogs Installed! Pics!

No, you cannot just replace the bulb. It needs the whole kit (bulb, ballast, power harness).

I WISH you could just swap the bulbs, hehe..
