You have got to be Kidding......if you have to have the plate, order the factory bracket, it would look much better!

See if you can cut the height down, put it in a thin chrome holder, add soft velcro on the back and secure it with 2 small screws on top through the center of the lower grill.

If you're going to take a fine for not having it displayed properly, then just take it off altogether. :2cents:

I hate front plates also, I have actually gone for several years in a different car without a prob.
My cts has holes drilled in the front bumper so i guess I will just leave it on for now. What is the point of the stupid front plates anyway?(VA)

A suggestion? If you are going to mount it off-centre...mount on the side that the air intake isn't, the right side. You could be blocking some air flow to your cai with that setup there.

Hey Izzi, looks like you have some condensation issues in your left front headlight. Is it common with yours? It might just be from the angle.

Plate looks okay there.. definately better than having it drilled into your painted bumper!

    Re: Good license plate spot???

Here is what I did. Buy a small plate holder bracket (Pic 1) Use 2 long plastic screws to attach plate, tighten with plastic nut and cover back with soft velcro wherever it will touch car (Pic 2&3) I then stick the remaining part of the plastic screw through the top of the bottom grille and hand tighten it with another plastic nut. I can reach the nut by reaching down infront of the radiator. (Pic 4-5&6) It depends on where you are going to put the plate on what length of plastic screws to use and where to put the bracket top or bottom of plate. When I park at locations where I think they might issue a citation I put on the plate, only takes a minute.

Damn fine post! If I should ever end up in a 2 plate state I'll need to remember that little trick.
