As far as having muscle the BBB has muscle try them ,and see or wait i got an idea, why doesnt Robert give a call for the guy ,seeing how he knows alot of info ,and inform him of whats happening to his reputation and his company, but hey you could always just take that drive just make sure you ask nicely. just my .2 cents | 03CTS,
Who says anything about going to a residence with a pissed off attitude? I surely didn't say that. I would be very professional and proper. I would present a copy of the check and invoice and say after waiting a year, more than a fair time, you wish to cancel the order and have the $850 refunded immediately.
I would also have a small concealed recorder to use as possible evidense later if needed. I'm a member of the BBB and have been for a number of years. They have no power other than sending you a letter that your company has been given a bad review. They don't take parties to court or have them arrested.
I've own my manufacturing business for 32 years and I think I have a good understanding how the systems work you knucklehead.
And why do you freely offer my time to represent Matt? I've already coached Matt. Why all of a sudden 03CTS do you see this as my responsibility? Why don't you accompany Matt to MD and help your Bro' out yourself?
It should be an easy job for you. Pete's at John Hopkins Hospital and in his weakend state should be easy pickin' for the two of you. |

So its a matter of someone bad mouthing your friend and/or your acquaintance, and you being able to do something to stop that. Now given the fact that you offered help once to the guy already then thats on him, but dont come on here informing that people are wrong on what they say,and correcting them saying its your fault this happen, or even defending the person that did the burn. As far as your responsibilities , yes it's not your problem ,so then why come in here defending the problem at hand, and explain someone elses actions? In doing this your making it your responsibilities, and not that person.
Now the BBB point . 'yes they send a letter to the company informing them of there negative review, but after n x amount of complaints , The company is pursed by them. Yes you might have owned ur comapny for 32 yrs and what not , but I've been owning a business for 3yrs and have been pursued.
Lastly no need to add insults.
Oh and If someone took $850.00 of my hard work cash ,and i havent heard from him in over a year, i would be pissed off if i see that person, so why go to his house,or to a hospital.all that does is cause problems for you for informing us of where he is at, the guy for going out there at this time, and the guy that is in the hospital bed.

Now I understand your reasoning. You're about poor choices if "they were after you", by your own words. 32 years here and have won accomodations and Businessman of the Year award. I did that by making the right choices.
The BBB can not make arrests and bring you to justice.
Your own a business at age 18 eh with 3 years experience at age 21. Still have the business?
I haven't insulted you by any normal measures. I may offended you but that's something different and open to interpretation.
Peace |

Knucklehead!! | Revenge is mine sayeth the Lord, so let's let him take care of it. He can think of way better stuff to do to him if justified and the best part is that it's not on our consciences. It all seems to work out in the end. Meanwhile Matt's out $850. Maybe he can file a claim with the executor of Pete's estate. It's not like he's going to become homeless over it.

I commend you on your handling of this matter. Frankly, I don't have a dog in this fight, but people post to get other people's opinions, so here's mine.
I have to tell you, I think you're being more understanding than I would be. Assuming Pete's medical condition is as Robert says (and I have no reason to doubt it), someone should be watching the shop and getting the bills paid. Regardless of Pete's condition, I feel certain that Pete or his heirs would not let his business tank while he was ill. Many business owners get sick and some don't have the best contingency plans, but to suggest that he has thrown his business in the trash because he is sick is a little naive. Perhaps you're being avoided because he has nothing left. But, if that's the case, someone should have the courage to tell you that he's flat broke and can't get you your money back.

So, he is too sick to send somebody a refund but he is well enough to keep posting and pushing his products on this board? Hes even well enough to keep on selling his brake parts.
I call BS. I seriously doubt he is even sick. Since his supposed life threatening illness took him over he has still been posting and selling stuff?? Whats up with that?
Bob, how do you know he is actually sick? Do you have any kind of proof besides him telling you so? The guy has been proven to be full of shit time and time again- how does anyone know he is actually sick.
He was pushing his brakes and posting as recently as the end of November.
If he is truly sick than Im very sorry for his illness. Being sick is no excuse to utterly screw someone over- end of story. |

(the things that only lock from the inside) and all the locksmith did was kick the door and it broke. he charged my girl $400 and my girl feeling helpless payed. i later had to call the company up and complain and ask for money back becuase the "locksmith" didnt pick a lock. he damaged my door and left us feeling robbed. so i threatened him with the BBB and he laughed and said all they're going to do is mail me a letter asking what is going on and that he's willing to mail letters back and forth for as long as i want but he can not refund me anything. so i still followed through and ask me if i ever got any money back... nope. i just gave up since it was way too much of a hastle. i had to take the loss on that one. |

Why do you want to participate in beating on someone when you know nothing? Most who have posted here have never attempted to do business with CMS. So you too know very little.
To my knowledge only four Forum member ever bought from CMS. Three got everything they ordered. One member unfortunately did not. And what's the purpose of the ranting? It's like screaming in the woods when there is no one to hear you. I know Pete doesn't hear you. So I guess your purpose is to vent about something you know little about.
I sent some flowers to the hospital and they weren't redirected. That's how I know he's there. |

They'll poop all over everything and he'll never get the stink out. The list of things you could do to him is almost endless and most of them the police wouldn't be able to stop laughing long enough for them to hassle you about it. |

I sent some flowers to the hospital and they weren't redirected. That's how I know he's there. | I think the point that Nick was trying to make( and a pretty good one I believe) is that if there is someone to post for CMS on this site, then there should be someone that can handle Matt's situation.
Personally, I don't think I would have let it go a month past when they were "supposed to be finished", let alone a whole year. But thats just me. |

Bob, dont make this a personal attack on me. I have the utmost respect for you and I hope you have the same for me. Im very sorry If I have offended you.
Saying I dont know anything is pretty silly. Ive been around these forums for a long time and Ive seen countless threads where people have proven Pete is full of shit. Tell me Im wrong?
So, 4 people have bought from him and 1 has been utterly screwed over. 25% is a pretty bad rate for screwing your customers. No business would survive if they blatantly screwed 25% of their customers and you know it, Bob!
Like Ive said over and over again- If he is well enough to post on this forum he is well enough to write an 850 dollar check. THAT IS ALL. | | Cadillac Discussion Tools | | |
