I understand this, everyone has opinions... but after someone drops a few thousand dollars on some wheels the last thing they want to hear is how much people don't like them. You can have opinions, and be polite too. Thats all I meant.

Its all good Rob, I am aware of the hp loss of the wheels. I sold my Cobra that had about 450hp for the cadi the HP was not the selling point for me on the car. I am going to be doing the Brembo kit on the car this spring and I really don't notice that big of a difference anyway.

Tekno,
Having been a regular here at this Forum for a long time. I quickly found out that "Yays" & "Nays" come quickly after you post a picture. When you post your pic you open your soul to all in hopes that you will get praise. If you haven't experienced the pulse of the Forum or are a newbie, You're fair game. Hey, I've been stung a few times by members. But in time you learn the guys you respect and they have merit to their posts. At the same time you learn who are the tasteless ones and you ignore them. I have 4 members on my Ignore List because I don't to even hear what they have to say because its negative or worthless.

Yeah the big HP loss was buying the Caddy ... not the wheels

Keep on keeping on. Looks good!

I used the Brembo cross drilled/ slotted rotor. They were hardened and cryogentically treated. They are really nice but my only regret is that I didn't get larger rotors. A Guy in the V Forum wanted to know if I had Miata rotors! I was able to laugh with him because he was correct that they looked to small. The Guy with the 22" rims even makes them look worse. I may upgrade this Spring/Summer.

Re: CTS FINALLY UP ON 22's!! (Pics)

This is a classic "form vs function" argument.

Some believe the "look" is everything, regardless of the functional trade-offs involved (ride, handling, braking, acceleration). Others would never give up the functional characteristics to achieve a certain appearance, on-trend or not.

I'm with the latter.

Think Liberal Democrat vs. Republican. If you're under forty and aren't a Liberal you don't have a heart. If you're over forty and aren't a conservative you don't have a brain.

I'm at least as cool as anyone on the forum. In fact sometimes I'm downright cold. I guess I've got no right at all to mouth off.

Not just your rims, but any ride with rims like that remind me of wagon wheels, I mean covered wagon wheels. Just don't like seeing alot of daylite through the tires. And unless it's a perfect road the ride has to be horrible. I hope you knew you were going to get opinions when you posted. That was just mine.

Wow really thanks for letting me know, I had no idea that the ride would get worse with 1 1/2 inch side wall!!

I mean really people I have said it enough times, EVERYONE is welcome to an opinion on how the wheels look on the car. That said, if you don’t like them fine I would rather you not post but if you really just have too say something well by all means lets here it.

I don’t recall where I posted “ok people what do you think of the wheels one my car”, obviously I know posting them would get comments but the real reason I posted this was because I received quite a few pm's and emails asking me about my experience putting the 22's on the car. When I originally asked about 22’s people were like they don’t fit, the ride sucks, this and that but no one had actually tried it or new anything about dimensions or clearances and what to look for when installing them. This was more of an info post.

Thanks for everyone’s response whether good or bad

Not lets move on to something else.

I did help you out though in a previous post w/some #'s.

I have 20" Enkei Kapones w/a 40MM offset. I have not lowered my car at all and I do not rub anywhere. 22's will look hot. Here are the specs. ENKEI LUXURY KAPONE
