Fresh Air temp. too warm compared to ambient temp.

I have an 04 CTS with nav. and 1SC package. Since taking delivery over 3 months ago, I have found that when AC compressor is turned off, temp. controls for both driver and passenger set at 60 degrees F and cool to cold outside ambient air temp., I get warm air out of AC outlets. For instance, it was 46 degrees ambient the other day and I put thermomenter that AC/heater techs use in center AC air outlet. Temp. coming out was 85 degrees F. I suspect a faulty or misadjusted blend door or heater/ac control module. Took car to dealer and tech told service writer this is normal for CTS as fresh air intake is diluted by heated air from engine mixing with fresh air at cowling. I don't buy this as many cars are designed with fresh air intake just behind engine compartment but pass actual ambient air temp into passenger compartment when ac compressor is off and temp. adjustment is at its lowest setting.

Has anyone else noticed warm air coming out of ac ducts when compressor is shut off and temp. controls set to lowest setting? If so, is there a fix for it or maybe a tech service bulletin that address this problem. I think my dealers tech just does not want to fix the problem because it is probably difficult to access blend door to check it for adjustment or door motor hard to access. Any opinions???

I have found that with most cars with auto climate control, it is that way with the AC off. Because the ambient air goes through the duct system. Not directly inside. My Mercedes was that way.To get a relatively accurate temp, you need the AC on . that has been my experience, for what it's worth.

I've felt warm air sometimes when everything is off. I thought about saying something to the tech guy, but always forget. I don't feel it all the time, just once every few days.
