Question Can you deactivate the Traction Control?

Greetings from a Newbie here... but I am long time lurker.

Ok.. so I am taking the steps I need to take to purchase a pre-owned 03 CTS, hopefully in the next month (silver, sunroof and Bose). Quick question... first I was going to buy a 230K Benz C-Class.. Then the CTS came out... and said... nah I'll wait for the CTS.

Now.. I was wondering if you go thru the menus on the drivers information center in the CTS .. can you de-activate the traction control? (I know I could in the Benz 230K).

The reason I ask... is because I dont want some piece of software to have total control over my driving and reactions all the time... In the snow and rain.. fine... but when I am out "playing" I dont want the big brother traction control to kick in and correct my driving.

    Thanks in Advance....

    Jer

Traction control can be disabled by programming one of the softkeys on the radio for TCS or by programming one of the four steering wheel control buttons for TCS.

If you hold either button for more than 5 seconds, it will disable the skid control also.
