Worst Cadillac Dealer Ever!!!!!!

Remove this ad
Its a long story but it really happened. I recently purcased a beautifull '04 caddy from a close friend who was returning his lease. there were 3 main reasons i purchased the car:

1. I Love cadillacs, especially the CTS
2. Awesome price he gave me, and the car had only 16k miles!!!
3. Theres a caillac dealer down the street from my office so repairs and service would be easy.

so i get the car and called the dealer to get it serviced (my friend had brought it in for its 12k service but i thought that it needed a 15k service). i called the dealer but was told that they would not accept the car with the temporarys that it had and to wait until i got the car titled and got plates (the owner didnt want a car with a temp in his dealership that he didnt sell he told me!!). so I waited a month and called the dealer back for an appoint ment - last monday, the rep was a little rude but i made the appointment anyway since he didnt tell me that the car didnt need service until 30k miles. I drop off the car monday and see that the car only needs service at 30k (they still havent told me, only know because its on a whiteboard with the prices), tell the guy that im experiencing a vibration in the front drivers area and to look at it so i dont waste my appointment. i get picked up by a friend and go to watch the fifa soccer game down the street. i come back in the afternoon and talk to the service rep, he gets the QA guy and tells me that he hears sound comming out of the diff, a popular issue here on the forums so i say ok fix it. he says ok and gives me a rental while they fix the diff (they tell me at most a day. and they give me a shitty malibu with mold in the AC!!) so the next day comes and im having problems with the rental, so i call the dealer and get blown off 3 times before i finally speak to the rep who tells me they still havent fixed my car and sets me up on a new rental.(Old Mans Buick Lucerne) call again on wednesday and thursday morning and am told that the rep is "too busy to pick up my calls". I finally flip out at 5:30 pm on thursday after waiting for a call back for a full hour at my desk only to find out (from the receptionist) that they lost my keys, that thats the reason that the reps been giving me the run around and thats why they havent given me my car. i calmly tell her not to worry and describe my keys to her, explain that im leaving for a trip and that i would keep the rental for the weekend and deal with this on monday with them. IM SO MAD!!!!! I cant beleive that they held my car for that long and not told me!!!

so im putting this up here to get help from my fellow CTS owners on how to deal with this situation, i know that there is a 800 number that i can call but i want my voice to be heard in this matter not put on a paper and filed especially since they made me wait a month for a service i didnt need and then get brushed off for over a week from my car. I live in norther NJ and the dealer is in that area, i dont want to put their name in case they do right by me, but in my life that has never been the case. I just checked my office vm and have the receptionist telling me they are sorry they lost my keys and that they finally found them and that my car is ready so i have proof of their f'up. So Guys, Any Ideas?????

I have heard the 800 number is a joke and nothing (probably) will come of the situation, but it couldn't hurt to try. You may want to talk to the service department manager or the store manager and calmly tell them your story and how disappointed you are. If that doesn't work I would try higher in the food chain (a regional manager or something).

Ever think of talking to the OWNER of the dealership? Works for me every time (in any business). That's about the highest life form in the (local) food chain. If that's not successful then get the Zone involved. Remind them that they are in the SERVICE business.

Other option is find another dealer.

Re: Worst Cadillac Dealer Ever!!!!!!

Im going to ask for the owner the second i get there on monday, but im guessing im going to either tget a "Hes Not Here" or a "hes too busy to meet with you" BS, does anyone know who the Zone manager is for North jersey? maybe if i drop a name or if i contact him he might help. Also what should i expect from them? i work in service as well (Network Management) and i expect to get something for my trouble, but at the same time i dont want to ask for the house and the boat
