Is SunTek window tint any good?

I went to get a estimate on the CTS. They want 239 dollars for the four windows and the back. The company I went to had nothing good to say about 3M or any other brand other than SunTek. The price seems a bit high. Any opinions on this? Anybody using the SunTek and if so are you happy with it? Thanks.

Dunno what they used on mine.....but it has a lifetime warranty so if it goes bad, they fix it

I just had my CTS-V done today 10-30-09 with SunTek Carbon. The back and rear are 18%, with the front sides at 38%. Looks very nice. But if I were to nit pick it...

1. The view out of the rear is a little skewed because of the Ant/Heater lines.
2. The "Dot Matrix on the edges shows up as white or silver, the installer said it would go away after it completely dries (3 to 7 days). But I am not so sure.

All else is good. I would have it installed again.

I dont know anything about Suntech but I just had Llumar 20% film installed about two weeks ago and it looks great.

had suntek installed in my truck. looks great. have 3m installed in the lac. also looks great. both have lifetime warranty.

SunTec i heard has lowered their quality (not happy with my SunTec tint, dont know how the quality was previous years) since the economy crashed it hit them hard... i heard they may go bankrupt...
i have suntec on my cts... i noticed it scratches easily and i have been carefull with it and it was done this summer. it has not faded but it is still new.
im not sure what was used on my trucks but after 4 years it still looks amazing... it faded a little this summer but it is 4 years old. as for surability it is much better than suntec...
i would not get SunTec tint again... also i woldnt go to that tint shop again... they scratched my window with the razar but they paid to replace it.

you should look into security tint, it is thicker and i think it is more like vynal than a plastic that creases easily... i will be trying security tint next... you can get pre-cut on ebay

I've been installing SunTek Carbon series since 2004 and have nothing but good things to say about it. Your price of about $240.00 is not a bad price in my area (northern IL).
Here in Illinois, we have a new tint law. We can now have 35% on all windows, or a 50 on the fronts with no darker then 30 on the rears.

well if he says its good dont let my opinion push you away... this is just my experience with this tint, also it was a bad tint shop which may have added to the problems i have.
personally i still will not use SunTec again.

if i were you i would be inclined to listen to someone who works with the tint on a daily basis and it doesnt look like he is trying to sell it to you so hes not getting anything out of it.

i think i paid about $200 for mine cash.
