CTS Sport Grille

Hello CTSers,

After saving and saving and saving I finally got what I wanted. A Black 04 CTS 3.6. I got it on Saturday and havent stopped smiling since. I cant get anything done at work...All I want to do is drive. Love it!

Anyway, I been hovering on this site for sometime now and I have heard about this sport grille for our cars. I think i like my standard grille better than the V grille but I like the sport grille because its like the V mesh behind a stadard grille. Couple of questions:

Where can I buy it?
Is it two piece? Meaning do I only need the mesh part.

Also Im in St. Louis. Anyone else ever get together in this area?

And yes its two separate pieces, the actual grill and then the mesh insert. Also the grill itself needs to be painted to match as I believe it comes unpainted or just in black (not sure if its a Black Raven color or flat blk).

You can get it from www.gmpartsdirect.com or www.cadillacforums.com/cadillac-parts/. It is sold as two peices and runs about $600 + paint. The part numbers are on here somewhere.

2006 sports grill grill part number 15279143 list 440.00 cost 330.00 mesh insert part number 15279150 list 271.00 cost 203.00 then you have tp paint the grill another 100.00 big bucks the v-grill is not a bad price and looks good.........i am not big on the sports grill......

At one time I thought I might want a sport grill until I added all the numbers up! Much to pricey. Can't figure out why its so costly.

Yeah that is way more than I thought. I would have assumed that the V grille would cost more. Do you know if I can just buy the mesh insert and add it to the grille I own/

Sure can go buy some and cut it to fit.....ask luvmycaddy how easy it is.....but im sure you can find an easier to cut metal and just spray paint it chrome.....would look the same and you could have a different pattern.....I did this for a friends F150 and it looked really good

Yeah, a friend of mine did it with his Grand Prix and it looked better than his friend who paid $150 for his inserts...

With the stock grill, you really wouldn't be able to see it behind there.
