Thanks Caddy Man for all the input on this one... No more stupid analog clock that never matched the digital!!!

All the way till the day I got in to the dealership to swap out the gage cluster, my service rep. and the SM both told me I'm getting the 05 cluster. The day came and after they did the swap, what do I see...... an 04 cluster - I was like WTF, but hell at least I don't have that stupid analog clock anymore and the 04 cluster still looks better then the 03!!! Supposedly the parts guy said that he only got to order the 04 cluster because it was a closer match to the 03, or something like that, blah, blah, blah.... bunch of bull-shit if you ask me.... anyways....

If anyone with an 03 CTS has a problem with the analog clock not matching the digital - this is an easy swap and you eliminate the problem!!!

Covered under WARRANTY!!!

And if you do want the 05 cluster, make sure you double check with them before they install it!!! Hell, if the 03 cluster doesn't work we should be able to get what we want damn it!!! This is a Cadillac after all!!!

Hey kali cts03. I see you live in Southern California. Do you live near LA County? If you do I'm just wondering where you purchased you rims from? Have you changes you Amp? Or did any modifing to your stero system? I need to find a rim and stero shop that knows how to work on the CTS.

Hey did you get a body shop to clearcoat your sidemarkers and fogs or did you do it yourself with night shade? Im trying to do all my lights that way but Im not trying to drive around with no taillights or any lights for that matter while there at the body shop.

is there a way I can forcibly make my analog not match the digital so I can get this fixed under warranty?

I'm in the San Fernando Valley!... The Valley!!!
Rims I got from Northridge Tire Pros (818.349.0647) - I paid around $1300 out the door for rims and tires! At the place I did business with a guy named Keith.... If you go there tell him I recommended the shop (Dariusz with a white 03 CTS - pretty sure he'll remember) maybe you can get a good deal as well!!! Good thing about that place, they took a lot of time on my car to make sure the ride quality is good!!! They balanced and re-balanced till it worked!!! They even at no extra charge changed tires from the Capitol Negotiators to my Current Kumhos so the shaking goes away! Hub center rings are a must as well!!!

As to the stero place, I haven't done anything to mine yet but a friend of mine goes to this place around the 5 and 118 freeways.... the guy does great work.... not cheap and takes his time but first class work... if you want anymore info let me know and I'll try to hook up the info for ya!!!

I went to a tint shop where I got my windows done and asked them for the same kind of film that's on my windows (just a big enough piece for the job) got it for free - went home made templates of the lights, cut therm out (make sure you cut them the right direction with the sticky part twords the lights).... cleaned the lights, sprayed with water, peeled the film, sprayed it, placed it and got out as much air as I could (pretty much no visible bubbles or anything like that) and DONE!!!

Ok, I'm not sure 100%, but I think my SM told me that even if they do get them to match up (and supposedly it's not a problem on all 03's) after you disconnect the battery and connect it back the clock might mess up and be out of range between the 2.... If you try this and it works that means you have one of the bad analog cluster...fuks!!! And shouldn't be a problem then getting it replaced.... Make sure if that happens to tell them that people have done it and you can even point them to the site here!!!

Kali im glad you like the new upgrade. Kinda sucks they didnt upgrade to teh 05...but hey it was all under warranty so you saved like 250 dollars (amount it cost me to buy my cluster, ship, and reprogram) and no more pesky analog clock!

I will definately try that when I get my car back although I have disconnected the battery before and I dont think it screwed with my analog clock. My dealer is pretty easy to get warranty work done. I had the headlight peeling problem and they replaced the headlights under warranty with no problem. I told them I could give them proof that it was happening to other people and she looked at me like I was crazy and said I didnt have to do that with them

Hope it works out for you so that you can get this mod done!!!

As to the headlights, you should probably post something in the thread: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...g-peeling.html so that we see that more and more people are getting this done under warranty! This will maybe help with those flaky dealerships that don't want to do thier warranty jobs! I'm going in with the peeling on the Headlights sometime next week or so!!!
