It comes with a Maxx Vortex Generator and the Maxx Ion Gas Line Ionizer.
Does anyone know about this product and does it realy work???
It says that it can help out the HP and the MPGs, up to 35 more HP and up to 46% on MPGs for the CTS (it varies by car). I'm pretty sure that those are numbers not many people see (if this product works) but any improvement in HPs and especially the MPGs would be good.
The price for this Kit is $25.95, so it sounds a bit 2 good to be true type of thing. Any feedback would be appriciated. |

It's been disscussed here before. A mod like this that costs that little, with the price of fuel that it is and could return those results, would allready be on every vehicle produced. This is nothing more then someone using techno-babble to lure in unsuspecting buyers looking for the miracle fix to those two questions. Do not fall prey to this scam, and if thats not enough, call them and ask them to provide actual proof (Dyno readings before and after) as well as un-impeachable testimonial. Just for S**TS and GIGGLES ask them for a free 30 day trial and see what kind of answer you recieve. Believe me and the others who wil chime in here for sure.....rn the other way!! |

Yet they do provide you with a 30-day money back guarantee, which is why I asked... for if it was completly false it wouldn't even provide that much..... I have found this on eBay, and from the feedback of some of the people it looks like it works for some but not others.... |

Also, not saying they did this, but feedback is easily generated through a few ''fake'' sales. They have a 30 day money back guarantee, but to pack it up, re send it, wait for refund etc, I personally wouldnt even bother. |

Are all these kind of products false??? |

I've seen this on a few like type deals, and even though they refunded the money they got 2/3's of the money out of you for that part of the deal. |

What about the torbonator, which is linked on your earlier reply, is that something that is worth investing in and do those work? |

What they don't tell you is that the ECM then corrects for the change to bring it back in line with its design parameters, usually after the car is started the very next time. My sister has a Z4, she installed the turbonator and say's she felt a liitle more power by the seat of her pants gauge and increased her gas milage on that tank by 2 mpg's. She's thrilled, until the next tank and beyond goes back to the original mpg. I've driven it and I can get the rear wheels to turn loose easier with it installed then without. Other then that I feel no percieved difference. The only way things like this can work is if the computer can be reprogrammed for the mod or the computer can adjust more performance from the mod. If you live were you need to get emissions checked regularly then that becomes an issue as well. The engines are now so sophisticated that the only real time mods are going to be pricy and the gains for the most part will be small. |

If you don't mind a do it yourself job and about $30 for the filter you can get a little of what your looking for that has proven to work. Look in the Faq section on TonyA mod. |

First is the air intake. Make it less restrictive and bring in cold dense air. Its referred to as CAI or cold air intake. The TonyA system Hoth mentioned is the cheapest but it does work. I did a write up in the Cadillac FAQ section. http://www.cadillacfaq.com/faq/answe...ram/index.html
From about $40 you jump up to the most popular CAI, the Volant at about $245. I started with the TonyA but later moved to the Volant. Both add a nice robust low pitched growl to the engine. That's about all you can do on the intake side.
The exhaust system is next. The cheapest route is adding a used CTS-V exhaust, about $125 installed. Horsepower gains are modest but it has a nice sound and magnificent chrome tips. The three aftermarket exhausts, the Corsa, Borla and B&B. If you have the 3.2 the Borla is the best choice.
I have the Corsa on my 3.6VVT engine.
Next is a big jump in cost. It's headers and high flow Cats. Only one company makes them, Cadillac MotorSports. I have a set on order @ $1700.
This is not a DIY so allow 4-5 hours of Pro-tech time.
The above mods should get you close to 300HP. There are some additional mods available. Very pricey and it challenges the integrity of our differentials. |
