This may have been answered but here's my input...

I have wheels that are for a Chrysler 300M on my car, which has a 5x114.3 bolt pattern. Only thing I needed for them to work were the hub centric rings.

Wheels are 17x7.

Mike,
I am just wondering how long GM has used the 115 mm pattern??? Did they start this with the CTS?

Re: Cadillac's New Bolt Pattern 5 x 114.3

its been around a long while. For some reason we share the same bolt pattern as the monte carlo.

The camaro has been using 120 for years. I think Gm was trying to hold onto its dumb idea of 115 and throws some cars on that crap so they dont have any rims to select from.

All the monte carlo owners bit also...

the new 300's run like a super low offset in the low 20's high teens. Aftermarket wheels for a 300 would stick out like crazy

That's why you look for wheels for a 300M. They stopped making the 300M in 04, and the offset etc. is around the same as the CTS's.

Re: Cadillac's New Bolt Pattern 5 x 114.3

Best way to get an answer is to contact a national shop that sells wheels. Tell them you want to purchase a set of their 114.3s and install them on your Cadillac. Then ask what the warranty would be.

If they are willing to guarantee them and take full liability for potential damage and injury/death, then buy them, install them, and drive them. Just get it in writing; maintain a copy of that coverage in your vehicle and with your personal papers. That way your family, friends, those who become involved in any accidents can then partake of the financial repercussions.

Simple!!

Me, I will stick with the 115s produced and distributed by GM.

BTW, if you ever did have a serious accident resulting in injury/death, etc, a sharp plaintiff's attorney who might come across this thread would have a field day.

Judge Judy would even agree with that plaintiff's attorney.

Re: Cadillac's New Bolt Pattern 5 x 114.3

IIRC it started with the 1980 FWD "X" Body. Been around for a LONG time. Zillions of cars with them. And then some.... If you are GM Alphabetic impaired, that is the Citation, Skylark and Phoenix platform.

It is a true metric bolt pattern, and the 114.3 is a english (4.5") pattern.

GM got with the program and got on a true metric pattern and ChryCo and Ford didn't. I wish the US would get with the program and go 100% metric. Yes, I like the english system, but come on guys, we are NOT with the program, so we are always in the middle of 2 systems. Canada bit the bullet back in the 70's and we are just too darn stubborn to go with change. It hurts us, it isn't fair to our kids who now will grow up and struggle with it. It is a long process to get done.

I am wondering about drilling the hubs out to 114.3
