    03 cts - can't shift out of PARK

    My car won't shift out of park is it because I unhooked braking system?

    You need to be able to apply the brakes for the shifter to be released from park so yes, I would think that's your problem.

    If you want people to read your thread, in the future I recommend using a thread title that is more descriptive than "03 CTS". I've edited the title of this thread for you.

    As for the problem you're having, what do you mean by "unhooked braking system"?

    I don't know what you mean by "unhooked the braking system" but it sounds like shifting out of park while your car doesn't have a functioning braking system is a good idea

    I removed third brake light to get fixed when I got bacc in car it wouldn't go into gear
