    Codes

I just got back from autozone and they did a dio check on the car and came back with these codes
    P1700
    P1779
    P1795
I've tried looking them up on google but can't really find true answers. Can you help with these issues?

    Re: Codes

P1700 - "Malfunction Indicator Lamp requested by trans control module"
P1779 - "Engine Torque Delivered to TCM Signal"
P1795 - "CAN Bus - Throttle Body Position"

So what's the car doing exactly?

    Re: Codes

If you have a 2003 CTS you can check the codes yourself. It has a built in OBDII reader in the radio. Turn the ignition on and hold in F1 and F6 on the presets, when it comes up check the ECM codes. At the top of this forum check the DIY'S and it tells the codes.

When the car threw these codes it was shifting hard and downshifting hard. Power seemed light too, meaning not much acceleration power

    Re: Codes

I just had the same codes, clean your throttle body with carb spray, apply dielectric grease to the electrical connector and perform the throttle pedal relearn found on cadillacfaq.
