Still have that famous R/R floor water leak?

All 4 sunroof drains are working but still have this water leak, pics attached, comments please !!

I'm at my wits end ---- can you see the little opening in the door seal? Is this normal because on my 2003 cts -- both rear door seals have the same opening.

Have you checked the little weeping hole that is at the bottom of your doors? Gently tug on the door seal on the bottom and you should be able to see/feel the weeping holes. If I recall correctly, it is in the center of the door for the rear.

doubtful that it's the door seals (or at least those door seals)

if the drains are not kinked then the weatherstrips that are on the body of the car around the door openings will be the next place to look

after that make sure that water is not getting in the door past the vapor barrier and coming in behind the door trim panel

those on the door weatherstrips are not there to keep water out of the car so it's definitely not them

Re: Still have that famous R/R floor water leak?

Well, I've pulled the door's inside panels off and checked all the vapor barrier's and there all good.

I'm going to jack up the rear of the car to pull the wheels and remove the wheel/wells to double check all sunroof hoses.

    Post up later!

When you removed the door covers. Did you notice any signs of water stains? Or did the stuff look like it hasn't been touched by water.

I was asking if there was any sign that there was water inside the door? Whether it was filled with water when you opened it or in the past.

Re: Still have that famous R/R floor water leak?

Then I can tell you it's possible that it came from the door. Because I had the same problem a few years ago where water was pooling in my right rear foot well. Since I have no sun roof, it had to be coming from the door. My girl friend opened the right rear door and it started to leak. It poured a day or two before. So I felt under the door for that weeping hole, found it in the center and removed debris that was blocking it. Then all of sudden about a gallon or more of water poured out of the door. Since then it's been dry inside the car.

Re: Still have that famous R/R floor water leak?

Yes and thanks for the on going help, sounds like I have the same problem as yours!

The answer is 'Yes' --- when I first understood I had a wiring problem in the R/R floor area, water was running out the R/R door speaker, and again 'Yes' water was pouring our the holes in it's door after playing around with it's door sealer on the bottom.
