05 CTS Front End Damage - What's this radiator?

Few weeks ago, managed to hit a spare tire that a vehicle dropped on the highway - going full speed. Messed up the front end, bumper, radiator, condenser needed replacing. Still got additional problems that were not fixed (messed grill, windshield nicks, few dings on the hood, alignment is all off too)

However, I noticed the transmission? cooler attached in the pic below. Looks a tad damaged. That, plus the whole "installed with zip ties" thing doesn't seem like a good idea. New zip ties at that.

Just want to get my ducks in a row - is that the transmission cooler, or something else?

    Thanks!

That little thing is NOT the A/C condenser.

The trans cooler is inside the radiator.

    That looks aftermarket.

My apologies....moist cabbage is right. I jumped the gun lol. The A/C is the same size as the rad. Not 100% what that is.

    Looks like aftermarket trans. cooler.

yeah that looks aftermarket. It's not uncommon for aftermarket trans/oil coolers to be mounted with zip ties. I've seen it many times. Usually the person doesn't have the ability to fab up custom mounting brackets so they just zip tie it where ever they can and it generally holds.

Where do the lines go to? That is definitely aftermarket for whatever it is servicing. Most likely the transmission, but it could also go to the power steering system. Although that would be a huge cooler for power steering, typically for a factory cooler it's just one or two loops in front of the main radiator. Or it could even be an engine oil cooler, though I don't know where they would of grabbed the inlet and outlet for it.

The single gear clamps & low pressure rubber hoses are a clue.
