    2007 Lower Control Arm.

Sorry for the newb question. But I will be having my car serviced at Firestone this week to replace the right lower control arm. I believe that is the issue because every time i go over a bump i hear a squeaking sound. My question is since the right lower control arm is getting replace which i believe comes with bushings and new ball joints must i also do the left? Firestone did not mention anything about the left lower control arm needing to be serviced but it seems like a good idea. They are charging me 489 to complete the job. Thoguhts?

I know the dealer doesn't sell the bushing or the ball joints separately. But I believe you could get aftermarket bushing and ball joints. I replaced all front ball joints and both tie rod ends, for the total cost of under $150... Had to do all the labor myself tho
as to the questions at hand, I don't think it's completely necessary to replace both control arms at the same time.

    Ikera,

Thanks for the reply. Wish you were located in Phoenix, AZ because i'd pay you some coin to do the same job on mine . I have researched and places such as Rev[shift] offer just the bushing... However, it is not [easy] finding a [reputable] place that will install parts I bring to them myself. This is good to know that I don't need to replace both sides if the problem persists on the right side only. However, I was once told by the dealer (4 months ago) that all bushing on my CTS are starting to wear out. It's just a pain that both sides will run roughly 900 dollars when you yourself completed the same job for $150
