Question 07 CTS with a typist and pair of tweety birds in the dash.

    Hi Folks,
I am new to Cadillac and am a 1st time owner of a 07 CTS, with Just 33K miles, when I turn the ignition on, this is pre-engine start, a pair of birds when the air flap is in top position, and a typist when the air is in floor position. What is this embarrassing sound(s) and can it be some how turned off?

Please tell me I did not make a mistake buying a CTS.

    Thanks P

More than likely a dry or worn out blend door actuator. Take the kick panel off and isolate where the noise is coming from.

Hi jran0823: thanks for the reply, is this on the driver side or passenger side where is the "blend door actuator" located? I will unplug it, and see if that is the issue... again thanks

I'm not entirely sure on our cars, but it's usually by the center console area under the dash. You often have to remove the carpeted kick panel to access, and if you unplug it you won't be able to control the drivers side temp if that's what it is. They usually aren't that expensive to fix
