Re: Reading/Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)

I've got an 05 3.6 CTS with satnav. Pressing Band and bottom NAV buttons doesn't do anything.

I've tried it with the radio on and off, with ignition on and off, engine running and not runing.

    Help !

I think that only worked on the first year 3.2 CTS.

Re: Reading/Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)

I just purchased my first used 03 CTS, the check engine light came on. Found this site, read up on it, cleared the codes per advise above and we'll see if it comes back. The F1 & F6 method worked for me. Ignition on, radio off. Just need to learn how to decipher the codes better.

Thanks to all above for the info and advise. Keep it coming.

Somewhere on this forum there is a link to a list of the codes. Try a search or ask more questions, the folks here will be helpful.

It's not working for me either. It's a 03 CTS 3.2 with nav (2004 import, but built in 2003), but nothing happens when I push the bottom nav and band button. I guess this only applies to certain models.

Re: Reading/Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)

The thing is there has too be somewhere that tells what the on board codes are. I work at Autozone and my check engine light is not on but i still have on board codes popping up. I wonder where you can look these codes up since they are completely different from OBD 2

P0128 is the "coolant thermostat" code. The "C" at the end means "current". The other codes are "H" for "history" codes.
