    CTS Problems, or Lack Thereof

Anyone else notice that the posts about complaints with the CTS has gone down quite a bit?

5k miles on mine ( I know, I treat it like a high speed baby) and nary a hint of a problem so far.

    How's everyone else doing?

29,000 and no mechanial problems. Mine is a very early '03 (2/02 build date). The dealer swapped out (under warranty) the smoked plastic license plate bezel for the painted '04+ one, when it started to fill with water, though.

2,900 miles, some bushings in the shift linkage wore out and had to have them replaced. The dealer said it looked to be defective from the factory, so I'm hoping this is the last of the problems.

Oh yeah, and my center console squeaks like a B**** when my arms on it :madtalkin

Other than that, love the car

Nothing major. I get water in the rear bezel but I like the smoked better than the painted so I don't want it changed. Throttle delay is annoying but apparently that's the way it's programmed. And the radio/DIC has a bunch of minor programming bugs that probably cannot be fixed by the dealer.

No Major problems you had to have the engine fully replace twice.

Explain a little further. What throttle delay are you talking about?

    '05, 5000 miles, a small buzzing-rattle in sunroof-control console, fixed.

20K miles and nothing wrong beyond recalls. I'm really starting to get worried.
Oh . . wait, there was that plastic stone guard molding piece in RtRr wheel well that had one retainer pin missing. 5 minute fix under warranty.

I should have said "throttle lag"; my mind wasn't in gear yet. Many on this board have complained about the same thing, when you're at a stop and give it some gas to get moving, it takes a small, but definitely noticeable, lag before the throttle-by-wire system decides to let you go. It's almost a safety concern on some cars.

10,000 miles in three months and no problems nor do I expect any. At the rate I'm going I'll wear it out before it has time to break.

4k miles - many positive reviews, yet my wife still won't drive it! (wrong logo!)
