    But the plastic doesn't squeek
    Ouch is right.

What exactly is going wrong? Brakes failing are fairly serious events, worthy of possible legal action, no?

The Porblem I think the CTS has is that the seats dont recline back far enough. I sometimes like to put my seat back and take a nap but on our cts our seats only go so far back that it is not as comfortable as other cars i had.

You must have installed that after-market autopilot that keeps your CTS in one lane while you are taking your nap.

Thumbs up Re: CTS Problems, or Lack Thereof

Well usually I can keep the car straight while I sleep in the freeway and if it goes to the side those little bumps that are on the freeway wake me up before I go into the next lane telling me to go in a straight line before going back to sleep. Everyone does know that those bumps on the freeway between lanes are there for the reason of waking up people that sleep while driving and let me tell you they do work.

7800 problem free miles--I never got an air-bag recall. Should I have?

I wouldn't tolerate ANY noise or rattling in a Cadillac. Christ fellas, I had two Crown Vics and a Focus that were tight as drums with no rattles or noises at all, NONE.

My son even had a 95 Mustang GT,a ragtop no less, that went 90,000 miles with no rattles.

If this CTS of mine starts rattling they're gonna fix it and fix it right or deal with my lawyer, she's a shark. And I'll get an LS.

5,000 on my '05 and no major problems. It definitely is a sleeper on the road--I've blowing off BMRs, Mini's, and the "ricers"--just Friday I blew off a moded Saturn through two tight turns onto a freeway on ramp and onto the freeway. He never caught up with me.

The CTS is awsome--it is an ENTHUSIAST'S car--thanks Cadillac!

Had the car a week. No problems, rattles, squeaks, noises.

It's kinda slow compared to my trade in but actually that's is the reason for trading.

You guys share much information on this forum. Keep up the good work.

Wish I could be where you guys are....

    9k miles

    - Foot heat ducts stay open, i'm guessing forcing heat into the pedal areas on both sides which literally burn the feet....this was happening during the winter. The climate controls were turned off completely while this was happening.

    - Subwoofer bracket rattle. Stock radio system.

    - DIC constantly inaccurate with radio stations / song titles etc

    - More to come...can't think now, gotta run...but the problems exist

That must be a common problem? My Mom just had that replaced on her '04 CTS with under 5k miles because it filled with water. The painted one looks better anyways!
