    Angry 2003 Cts 3.2l misfire.

Hey Guys this is my first post. I have a 2003 Cts 3.2l with 89k miles and i just replaced my head gasket, sparkplugs, water pump, oil cooler, timing belt, intake gaskets; because i was getting oil in my water system. Problem is now that im getting engine codes p0300, p0302, p0304, p0306 and pending p0302, p0304, p0306. I gapped all my spark plugs to 0.053 and still having the codes. I was wondering if it might be the timing belt.

2,4, and 6 are all on the same coil. It could be a bad coil, or the belt could be off. Line up your marks and see where everything falls. Then go from there.

Do a compression test to rule out a misaligned head gasket, or valve issues. Then recheck your wiring for your coil packs & injectors. Make sure all your grounds are correctly seated. When I did my rebuild I had a similar issue and it was because I never tightened down one of the ground terminals on the injector circuit.

I checked my timing belt and compression test. All good. Next going to check my ground cables for the coils.

I also read that you can check the fitting of the fuse box under the hood. Wires could be loose.

if your a couple teeth off on one of the cams it wont show up in a compression test. Need to pull that cover to make sure all lines up well.

No I have not replaced the coil packs. They run 95 for each. Ouch. Im Thinking its a vacuum line problem because during the time of putting the car together we lost track where the vacuum lines went.

If it was a vacuum line the misfires wouldn't be isolated to one bank.
