Post Violent Shaking and Shuddering at 45-65 MPH only after Warming up

2003 CTS, 44,000 miles (Really) shakes and shudders violently. Happens after driving 10-30 miles at highway speeds. Then usually goes away after driving another 10-25 miles.

You would think you have two flat tires the shaking is so violent

    No loss of engine power.

    Transmission shifts smoothly

No change if the put transmission in neutral

No change if disable Traction Control

Happens consistently, but not at lower speeds.

    Really puzzled

Two suggestions I've gotten re possible explanations: 1) Do another transmission flush without additive, and 2) problems with rear pinion gear binding that loosens up as it warms up.

I've googled my problem, and have not found an identical match.

Do you feel any shaking/vibration on your steering at all or is it coming from the rear?

I had a similar problem. Not exactly, but it was close. I had 4 new tires installed and balanced. The mechanic who did the work through my used dealer also replaced the diff. fluid and rear flex disc. No vibration since!

This. A car with that few miles does a lot of sitting. The tires will develop flat spots from sitting in one spot constantly.
The above post is my 2 cents....nothing more.
