    Engine Breaking

I noticed something strange the last two days this past weekend. Twice I gunned my engine to get in traffic and my 05 3.6L picked up speed as I expected. Once I came of the gas the engine seemed to "break" all the way back down to 25mph or so or until I tapped the gas and then it's normal again. Has this happened to anyone else and is this normal? BTW, I was in "D" and sport mode.

In sport mode, the trans holds the gear for 15 seconds after you stop accelerating, so if you let off of the pedal, you will get engine braking. The trans was designed for that.
